Luke Jacobz was born in Sydney on February 14, 1981. Growing up in the suburbs and attending Crestwood Primary and Crestwood High School, Luke showed an interest in sports and performing arts at an early age and had an agent by his early teens.
Completing drama study at both school and private tuition, Luke has appeared in several commercials and guest roles. When he turned 17 (1998) Luke gave up a plumbing apprenticeship for his life-long ambition of being an actor and landed his full-time acting gig as Zac Croft in Heartbreak High.
After wrapping up his role in Heartbreak High, Luke became a jack-of-all-trades, working in a café, retail and also the hospitality industry. Taking his love of travel and meeting people he also managed a youth hostel. In August 2000 he travelled extensively through Europe and the United Kingdom. Having the gift of the gab scored him a job as a promotional representative for the Pepsi Taste Challenge campaign in the summer of 1999-2000 and led him to the hosting role on Channels Seven's children show The Big Arvo.
In 2004; Luke hosted the popular Popstars program and co-hosted Iron Man. In 2005 Luke joined the cast of McLeod's Daughters.
Luke loves soccer, camping, cooking, lawn bowls and the Parramatta Eels.
In 2008, Luke and his dancing partner Luda Kriotor won series eight of Seven’s Dancing with the Stars.
Luke plays Angelo Rosetta a policeman who accidentally shot Jack (Paul O’Brien) dead at the end of 2008. Angelo returns to Summer Bay in May on a special investigation, On his characters return Luke says, “he is posted back in the town where he killed one of the most popular locals, Angelo does not want to be there, nor do they want him there, I’m not sure he will ever be forgiven or accepted, but he must get on with his job and his life.”
