For Cycle 3 we've got two bloggers sharing their thoughts on all things Top Model.

First up, 'Top Model Miss' has the inside goss on the happenings in the Top Model house, in production and in her head! Joining her to offer a 'Guy's Perspective', New Zealand's tallest comic satirist and resident 'The Jono Project' reporter Guy Williams also shares his musings on each episode.

First day of auditions! I can barely contain my excitement as I enter BotanyTown centre. It couldn’t be a more gorgeous day – the sun is shining and I just bumped into Sara Tetro, who as always was looking stunning.

Who knows what the day is going to bring? For some it will be the start of what could be a modelling career; for others, possibly a few tears; but without a doubt the day is definitely not going to be a run-of-the-mill Saturday for anyone taking part.

Early during the day two amazing girls arrived to audition – Rebecca and Janina were turning heads wherever they went. They were also joined by their super sweet friend, Peta, who was just a touch too short to audition herself. I was delighted when I discovered both girls had made it through to the next stage. Hope to see you both in the Top Model house!

We also had a few boys turn up for the audition too – notably, Finn from St Heliers who brought his girlfriend along for moral support. He also got the chance to speak to Shannon from Drew and Shannon Live – check out Monday’s episode on FOUR for a sneak peek at the auditions!

Waiting outside the audition room was really nerve-wracking for all involved – when girls first arrived everyone was chatty and bubbly. However, the nearer it got to each individual’s time to enter the audition room, nerves suddenly took over and the chatter died down. There was a lot of anxious toe tapping and lip biting – remember though, the judges don’t mind if you are nervous, it’s natural and they understand.

I was lucky enough to sit in on a couple of auditions and I have to say the girls who came into the room, spoke clearly and showed their personalities off really stood out. It’s not about striding into the room and being loud and confident – what the judges want to see is the REAL you.

This first audition was a fantastic start to the NZNTM audition tour – the Auckland girls did a sterling job and have set the bar high for the rest of the country. Can’t wait for Wellington tomorrow - speaking of Wellington, it’s an early start in the morning, so I had better sign off. Be sure to check in tomorrow for my blog from the capital city.
