Brooke Howard-Smith joined TV3 in 2005 and is the co-host of long-running series Target. He has also presented parts of TV3’s sport coverage, including the exclusive rights to the 2007 Rugby World Cup and Poker series Joker Poker as well as events including Coca Cola Christmas in the Park and the Big Night In Telethon. Brooke also played himself in several episodes of TV3’s The Jaquie Brown Diaries and in WANNA-BEn.

His previous experience includes being a host on XSTV, work on MTV in America and a time with sports channel ESPN. Brooke got into presenting over in the States where he competed in extreme sports, excelling in inline skating. He received a bronze medal at the 1995 X Games.

Brooke is a busy man, also managing popular Auckland party venue The Pony Club, and lists his interests as playing poker (currently a sponsored competitor on the Asia Pacific Poker Tour and the Australia New Zealand Poker tour), action/ extreme sports and playing the guitar in his band Fierce Asian Gang.His wife Amber Peebles is a former Miss New Zealand who hosts the MoreFM Breakfast show with Marc Ellis and Stu Tolan."

Brooke supports the Catwalk Trust for people recovering from spinal injuries, Hospice New Zealand and Kids Can.
