Chris Colfer
Character Bio
Fashion-forward soprano Kurt Hummel stands out at McKinley High, which unfortunately makes him an easy target for bullies. He finds an unlikely hero in quarterback Finn Hudson, a glee teammate and the object of Kurt's crush.
Kurt's interests include promoting and marketing his new fragrance, "Hummel." His best friend is diva Mercedes Jones, and though their friendship is briefly rocked by a Cheerios scheme, they're closer than ever after Kurt confides in her that he's gay. When they feel overshadowed by glee leads Finn and Rachel, Kurt and Mercedes join the Cheerios, expecting more opportunities for the spotlight.
Kurt lives with his widower dad, Burt, a sports fan Kurt is desperate not to disappoint. He joins the football team for his dad, and his success as a kicker gives Kurt the courage to come out to him. To Kurt's relief, Burt tells him he'll love him no matter what.
Kurt devises an elaborate plan to get closer to Finn by encouraging a romantic relationship between their widowed parents, but the results don't match his expectations.
