Chris and Jenna
From Sydney, New South Wales and have been married for four and half years
This hard-working couple subscribe to the motto “make it happen, no excuses, suck it up and keep going”.
A team in every sense, they are best friends first, husband and wife second, and new Blockheads third.
Chris makes and installs kitchens for a living, five or six a week, but they don’t really have much renovation experience. They did a small reno to the front of their house and are in the process of having a granny flat approved out the back.
Jenna loves to get creative, build furniture and tackle smaller projects at home with her husband’s tools, which Chris concedes are mostly pretty good. Some of Jenna’s ideas can cause issues because Chris wears the practical pants.
Jenna knows her decisiveness and focus is a strength, but her confidence in her own decisions can also be a weakness as often the execution and practicalities haven’t been properly thought out.
From outlying Campbelltown, the pair have known each other a long time, and their stint on The Block will no doubt bring them closer as they try to navigate the swings and roundabouts renovating with such intensity will throw at them.
Chris believes their relationship is their biggest strength over the other Blockheads.
“We might disagree on an issue but there’s no aggro or emotion and we don’t hold on to it. We just deal with it and move on,” Chris says.Jenna agrees the pair are confident going into the challenges of The Block.
“We are a couple of kids from Campbelltown who are giving it a crack and learning each day just how much we are capable of. We’d love to buy and renovate properties together. Anything after The Block will be a breeze,” Jenna says.
