Julie visits Ruawai's ElleCee Café & Bar where, during the Junior Trans-Tasman Rugby tournament, she helps out with extra dishes to feed the visitors and joins the Ruawai supporters at the big match.
The small town of Ruawai on the west coast of Northland, is known as the “Kumara Capital” of New Zealand.
“Riverside Café” is located in the beautiful Moutere Valley, north of Nelson. It is owned and operated by members of the Riverside Community, set up by Pacifists after the Second World War.
“Humbug Café” is down a side road in New Lynn, in the middle of West Auckland suburbia but they’ve been a huge hit with customers since day one.
