Episode3: Jerry Springer and Erin Brocovich
When Ben makes the shocking discovery that his girlfriend of 6 years is in actual fact a man (in the form of fellow broadcaster Jono Pryor) and their infant love child is a 30 year old midget (Jimmy the Dwarf) he’s unsure how to deal with the situation, so seeks the advice of the man the one man qualified to deal with this situation - talk show host Jerry Springer.
With Jerry’s guidance, Ben then takes part in another shocking show hosed by Paul Henry, which sees Ben being repeatedly shocked by Paul with an electronic dog collar. Ben then attempts to create some human drama of his own at the wheel of a borrowed tow truck.
However, when Ben tries to resolve the conflict between him and his ex-’girl’-friend Jono, he learns of a crippling water crisis or in this case a really large water bill he is being forced to pay! Ben then turns his attention to becoming like the real Erin Brocovich in the hope that Erin might help him solve his water crisis - just like Julia Roberts did in that Oscar winning movie.
With very little help from writer/actor Oscar Kightly, Ben pens his own movie and tries to uncover a nasty substance in the water, after swimmer Moss Burmister has blindfolded him and included some rather unusual water additives.
To find out whether any of this helps Ben make a clean break from his transvestite girlfriend and their midget love-child, check out episode 3 in the new season of WANNA-BEn.
