Jazmine's Apple Crumble Pie

     



INGREDIENTS

Pastry

100gm butter
1/4 cup icing sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup flour
1 egg

Filling

Apples – enough to fill
Sugar to taste
Cinnamon to taste
Cloves to taste
Nutmeg to taste





Crumble

125gm butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
Cinnamon to taste
Nutmeg to taste




METHOD

1. Core and peel apple enough to fill in – if unsure, do a lot. Stew in pan with sugar, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.
2. Make pastry – beat all ingredients together until smooth. Chill and roll out with flour, and place into pans.
3. Make crumble – beat all ingredients together.
4. Fill pans with apples and top with crumble.
5. Cook for 20 mins or until golden at 180°C.
