Lara Jean Chorostecki stars as Freddie Lounds - a trashy tabloid blogger and aspiring journalist who will stop at nothing to get her story. Lounds sees Will Graham (Hugh Darcy) and the FBI as targets, using them as fodder for her next sensational expose.
Chorostecki is best known for her role as Bridget, Guinevere's cousin, in the Starz/CBC miniseries "Camelot."
Other television credits include the recurring character of Sybil O'Brien in the new BBC America series "Copper," Charlie in Season 1 of CTV's "Dan for Mayor," a lead role in "The 19th Wife" (Lifetime), guest spots on "Beauty and the Beast" (CW), "Republic of Doyle" (CBC), "The Listener" (CTV), "The Border" (CBC) and a smattering of roles in other programs and short films.
Feature film credits include the lead in "Please Kill Mr. Know It All," which will be released in April 2013 and recently, a role in Brandon Cronenberg's first feature "Antiviral."
Chorostecki began her career at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, where she was the youngest graduate of The Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training, and enjoyed four seasons with the festival. Outside of Stratford, she has acted for Toronto theatre companies such as CanStage, Resurgence and Theatre Smash, working in both classical theatre and new Canadian play development. Favorite roles include Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet," Olivia in "Twelfth Night," Mary Lennox in "The Secret Garden" and Katie Brubacher in "Quiet in the Land."
A recipient of a Brampton Arts Award (from her hometown of Brampton, Ontario, Canada), Chorostecki holds a master's degree from England's Central School of Speech and Drama.
