Morgan's Fudge Tart

     

(Nestle’s Chocolate Creations)





INGREDIENTS

Pastry

100gm butter
1/4 cup icing sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup flour (sifted)
1 egg





Filling

1/2 cup cream
300gm cook chocolate
2 eggs
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence




METHOD

1. Cream butter and sugar, beat in vanilla essence. Stir in flour, mix thoroughly. Wrap in glad wrap and rest in fridge.
2. Pre heat oven at 160°.
3. Can blind bake, line and fill with white beans, rice, etc.
4. For the filling – stir cream and melted chocolate. Lightly beat eggs, caster sugar, vanilla essence and stir into chocolate mixture.
5. Pour into the tart shell.

6. Bake for 160°C for 15-20 minutes, until filling sets around edges (mixture becomes more firm when it cools). Stand on rack, chill if like, dust with icing sugar.
