Named Best Comedian by both Metro and North & South, Raybon is one of New Zealand’s most iconic comedians. Reader’s Digest listed him in the 50 Most Trusted Kiwis; and David Hartnell listed him among NZ’s Top 10 Worst Dressed. A former lawyer, Raybon has performed at comedy festivals in Montreal, Edinburgh, and Melbourne (where his show was named one of the Comedy Festival’s highlights by The Age newspaper.) Raybon’s comedy tours have sold out nationwide.

His books of humour include An Asian at my Table (Penguin), and America on Five Bullets a Day, and he co-wrote and acted in the comedy-horror film Diagnosis: Death, a ghost story set in the haunting world of clinical drug trials.

A quiz addict, Raybon won the TV One IQ quiz Test the Nation three times, and has appeared on the American game show Wheel of Fortune. He also made a TV3 documentary about a two-month period training to be a casino dealer.

In TV commercials in NZ and Australia, Raybon was the face of the budget airline, Freedom Air.

A popular after dinner speaker, Raybon also performs as MC for awards ceremonies and corporate events. Raybon’s hosted the highest level of events, including the advertising industry’s Axis Awards, the CAANZ Media Awards, the Netguide Web Awards, Better by Design, and the Magazine Publishers Awards.

In 2011, Raybon was an Ambassador of the Auckland Arts Festival.
