Chris and Craig Brown are looking for
their Dad, Les Brown. Chris runs an award winning butchery in Leeston, near
Christchurch, while Craig is an engineer based in Gore. They last saw Les more
than 30 years ago after he split from the boys’ mother when the boys were

Missing Pieces finds Les in Perth where
he tells of the regret of abandoning his sons. He has never had other children
and is overwhelmed to hear Chris and Craig are looking for him. He says he
tried to find them after the Canterbury earthquakes but had no luck.

Whangarei early child care
worker Lisa Penalver, 41, is part Maori. She was born in Wellington and then
adopted. Her new parents moved to England where Lisa was raised.
Forty years on
and Lisa is back in New Zealand trying to discover her cultural roots. She
traced her Maori Mum 10 years ago and lives in Whangarei to be close to her.
But Lisa cannot find her father.
The Missing Pieces search for Lisa’s Dad leads
the team to the sinking of the inter-island ferry in Wellington in 1968 and one
of the heroes of that terrible day.
