abuse from the woman at the centre of the brawl...
RUFFLING
FEATHERS
While patrolling our streets, police
are always on the lookout for suspicious activity. On their way back to base,
Constables Chris and Catherine spot a young man doing a runner from a takeway
shop. It turns out his hot chicken is hot goods and the takeaway shop owner
wants justice done...
Constable Chris Pemberton was in the Navy and worked as an IT
repairman before joining the Police 2.5 years ago. He loves the adrenalin of the job; “It’s a real
kick catching offenders.”He says the
biggest challenge is trying to change the mindset of offenders; “some believe
they have no choice in life and some do not want to change.”
22 year old Constable Catherine Hall used to be a lifeguard before joining the
police 2.5 years ago. She lives and works in Manurewa and says she enjoys the
“adrenalin rush, helping people, and seeing people go from bad to good.”
