Home & Away's Steve Peacocke has been cast in the supporting role of Stephanos in the upcoming action movie 'Hercules: The Thracian Wars'.
Steve will be starring alongside Hollywood actors Dwayne Johnson, John Hurt, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes and Rufus Sewell, and filming will begin shortly in Budapest, Hungary.
The movie is currently in pre-production and is set for release in July 2014. Steve plans to film in the coming months before returning to his role as Brax in Home and Away in September.
Steve says: "This is an incredible opportunity for me to experience film on a massive scale, work with a world-class director, actors and two of the biggest studios in the world. I’m grateful Seven is allowing me time out to get a taste of that world."
Home and Away Producer Lucy Addario says: "Steve is a truly great actor so it is no surprise that Hollywood has come calling. We are thrilled to be able to give Steve this short break from Home and Away and support him as he takes up this amazing opportunity."
