What can we expect from Season 10 of NCIS?
Season 10 is – I think we're going to break the mold, we're in double digits. I think we got a sort of start over, so I think it's just back to the front. I think we are a reboot and everything old is new again.
How do the events of the Season 9 finale affect the NCIS team in Season 10?
Everything that happened at the finale moment where Ducky collapsed on the beach and the building was blown apart and everything that happened in that moment is immediately addressed in the premiere. I think the writers and Gary Glasberg did a great job of putting us right there and so we all have some big emotional moments that happen and there is also a little touchy feely in the Tiva quarter. People are injured physically and emotionally – when it comes to Ducky, that is now going to be a whole new story. I'll let you tune in to find out what that story is but it is not – it's definitely not the same old same old.
How does the dramatic Season 9 finale impact DiNozzo?
Once something traumatic happens, you want everything to return to normal but you're more fragile and more vulnerable and then that leads everybody to a sort of a different behavioral pattern. I think Tony is altered but certainly moving forward.
Will we see more of DiNozzo’s life outside of work in Season 10?
There is a lot of stuff going on right now in the world and for Tony. One of the most important things happening in Season 10 is that there is a new James Bond movie coming out in November and clearly this is going to affect him. He is going to be dressing differently, practicing his Daniel Craig scowl, trying on little blue swim trunks. I think a lot of things are going to happen is all I'm saying.
Will NCIS continue to deliver big name guest stars in Season 10?
Obviously like crazy guest stars as usual and I can't confirm any of that but we just have the greatest parade of guest stars that come marching through our corridors.
Have you revealed much to the fans about the fate of Ducky in Season 10?
A lot of people would come up to me over the summer and say, oh, my God please tell me what happened, is Ducky dead? I would look at them and say, he is dead, just for my own amusement. I only ever said that if you asked me in the bathroom, otherwise I would be more tricky.
How much longer would you like to play DiNozzo?
My grandfather lived to 104 and I‟m 44 so I think I'm good for 60 more seasons. I've got 60 more in me.
