Episode 23- Rose More wins $16000 and 8 trips to Fiji!
Screened 07-November-2007
This week’s second contestant is Grandmother Rose More from Whangaparaoa. Rose wants to take her family of 8 to the Pacific Islands for a much needed holiday.
Things don’t start well for Rose when she knocks out the $50,000 and $200,000 in the first two rounds. The banker’s first offers are around $4000 dollars but then Rose begins to fight back.
After a couple of good rounds the banker’s offer hits five figures - but is Rose brave enough to risk it all for her dream holiday with her family?
Rose is unimpressed with the banker’s first offers of $3200, $4800 and $8200 and turns them all down. After a good fifth round, the banker offers Rose an impressive $8200 plus 8 return airfares to Fiji courtesy of Air New Zealand.
With her dream family holiday so tantalisingly close, does Rose have the nerve to push her luck any further? Despite the advice from the couch, Rose decides to play on!
After two more good rounds, Rose finally accepts the banker’s offer of $16,000 and the Air New Zealand tickets to Fiji.
After a rollercoaster ride to the end, did Rose make a good deal?
Yes - she only had $20 in her case!
