Carly Flynn joins Target for 2012

Consumer affairs show Target returns for 2012 with new host Carly Flynn.

The former Nightline anchor and Sunrise host brings a wealth of presenting experience and impeccable journalistic credentials to the role.

Flynn says she is excited to be joining host Brooke Howard-Smith on the show that fights for Kiwi consumers’ rights.

“I’ve always been a fan of the way that Target champions the underdog, and I look forward to showcasing some of the best and worst examples of Kiwi products and businesses.”

“As a journalist, mum, and small business owner, I’ve seen the impact that bad business experiences have on consumers – and how hard it can be for ordinary people to get things put right.”

The 2012 season will see Brooke, Carly and the team investigate the issues faced by consumers, big and small, lifting the lid on shonky behaviour and bringing solutions to those affected.

Their hidden camera house will expose some appalling trade practices – but will also reveal outstanding workmanship. And this season, the famous Target hidden cameras will be going to places they’ve never been - with some truly shocking results.

The ever popular Product Check is back, where consumer items are rigorously tested, both in the lab and field, to uncover the best quality and price.

Target has begun filming, and the producers want to hear from the public. If you have a story for Target to investigate, please email the team on
