price, nutrition, sustainability, comparing fresh to canned and I’ll get
fishing legend Graeme Sinclair to taste test our selection!
We checked out fresh king salmon fillets at $2.49 per 100 grams and our tinned salmon on average cost around $2.86
per 100 grams so kiwi fresh king salmon is cheaper than tinned.

Sustainability:
Sockeye salmon was certified as a sustainable
fishery in 2000. Of our brands, John West state this on the can and that they
have received the Marine Stewardship Council tick. This is an
independent, third party verification that the Salmon comes from a sustainable
fishery.
Taste Test:
Graeme preferred the Laurel Wreath Salmon, whilst John
West was the least preferred.
Overall combining price, taste, protein salt and
omega 3 content laurel wreath is tonight’s winner. Congratulations.
