He’s known for his quick wit and wry humour and now sports broadcaster and cricket legend Mark Richardson is hosting The Block NZ.
Mark played 15 years of first class cricket and five years of test cricket, including 38 test matches for the Black Caps until his 2004 retirement.
Known by cricket followers as ‘Rigor’, Mark was one of this country’s most successful and charismatic cricketers. He memorably turned around his career – from failed bowler to successful batsman, and was popular with cricket fans for his irreverent sense of humour.
A cricket commentator and sports presenter for the Sky network, Mark is also a published author. His 2006 book, Mark Richardson Thinking Negatively, was written with sports psychologist Alexander Mackenzie.
The 40-year-old currently lives in Auckland with his wife Mary and their twins Annabel and Charlie.
