This is the first programme by Stiefel as artistic director and one which is close to his heart.

“I hoped the programme would give audiences an insight into New York’s world renowned dance scene of past and present”.

Stiefel, who has appeared in the popular ballet film, Center Stage, said he was thrilled with the positive reception from the audience, and that he was “very proud” of the dancers.

“They just keeping raising the benchmark.”

The triple bill will continue its run, touring six other centres throughout the country.
