Clint Roberts co-hosts on EDGE Afternoons, alongside Guy and Sharyn. He is also a familiar face on THE EDGE TV, New Zealand’s biggest music TV channel, hosting the music countdown Hot Right Now, and featuring heavily in Edge-produced videos of stunts, pranks and interviews. Clint has interviews superstars such as Rita Ora, Lorde, Ronan Keating and Ed Sheeran for both radio and television, and is often called on as an MC for large-scale events such as most recently The Future Music Festival and our New Zealand’s biggest music festival Rhythm & Vines. The goofy, naughty and probably best looking one, get ready for Clint to ask the curly questions on The Xtra Factor, this one doesn’t hold anything back.
"When we go live for the Xtra Factor, the gloves are off. Which is a shame, because my aunty knitted me some really nice gloves especially for the show. But too bad, THEY’RE OFF!"
Rising star multi-media broadcaster Sharyn Casey has been honing her ‘craft’ from the tender age of seven where, in her Timaru bedroom, she would host her own versions of the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40, complete with jingles. Sharyn has been working in radio for 10 years , nine of which have been at The Edge where she now co-hosts EDGE Afternoons alongside Clint and Guy. Considered often as the lady glue holding the ship together, Sharyn brings relentless enthusiasm and sass to The Xtra Factor.
"I’m so excited that I’ll even put up with Guy and Clint for 2 extra nights a week – That’s a big ask guys!"
Comedian, corporate entertainer, writer, TV personality and Sexiest Man on the Box (yeah right), Guy Williams is quickly becoming the most annoying popular comedian in New Zealand. In 2010, he joined C4 as Dai Henwood’s protégé, but Guy first gained national exposure when he appeared on The Jono Project. He could be considered the comic relief and co-host on Jono and Ben’s TV3 show but on EDGE Afternoons he’s more, well, yeah he probably takes that title too. Full of boundless energy, incredibly tall and surprisingly lovable Guy is a massive The X Factor NZ fan and relentless tweeter. Hopefully he can juggle both on The Xtra Factor.
"Being on the xtra factor is my greatest dream behind covering myself in butter and going down a slide made of toast."
