New What’s Really In Our Food? presenter Carolyn Robinson is no stranger to TV3 viewers.The journalist turned new anchor attended Otago University, before completing a post graduate diploma in journalism at AIT (now AUT), and joined the TV3 newsroom in 1998. Carolyn presented evening news show Nightline for several years, before moving to her current role as 3 News’ weekend anchor, and back-up to Hilary Barry

As a mum of three and a keen cook, Carolyn has always taken an interest in the food she feeds her husband Graham, and children Leo (8), Claudia (6) and Isabelle (3).She jumped at the chance to turning her investigative attention to the fascinating world of food, but admits to one major food phobia – a hatred of peas.

Other interests include reading and travelling, and she makes the most of her spare time by spending it with her family. Carolyn supports several charities including the NZ Blood Service.She has a rare blood type, which can be used in all blood transfusions, regardless of the recipients own blood type.Her wish list includes taking a trip to Europe with her family, and she’d particularly like to visit Italy.
