Target 1035

Tue, 06 Oct 2009 16:45:00 +1200
We get new tiles put on the walls around the kitchen bench. We investigate the proposed extension of the time parking meters operate in Auckland City. And we put four brands of tea to the test in this week's 'Product Check'.

On Target 1035 (6th October)the consulted mechanic giving hints over car maintenance made the comment to occasionally "cut" and polish the your car. I have been told to never "cut" the paint on modern cars as they have a clear layer over the paint which can be rubbed off with the cutting compound, only ever polish. If this is true please tell your viewers on the next episode. I was also told by a car panel beater to never use soap when washing the car as soap gets trapped in panel joins and washes off protective wax which can lead to premature rust. Cheers, Greg. PS I have been maintaining cars for nearly 40 years
