Target 1036

Tue, 13 Oct 2009 15:46:00 +1200
In a hidden camera trial we take the Target car to various garages to get the brakes checked. 'Shame On You' takes a look at the increasing problem of ticket scalpers. We take a closer look at hair dryers in this week's 'Product Check'. And in 'Do It Right' Jeanette finds out which is the right type of mortgage for you.

Hi There can you make Target for those Fish n chips shops who says they use vegetable oil for their french fries, and it still doesn't suits vegetarian as they fry the fish in the same oil. and Although most Restaurants are vegetetarian, so, I don't go and buy where they sell veg and non veg together.

I can't seem to view this episode despite how many times I have tried to download it. Can anyone please tell me the result of the hair-dryer product check? Thank you :-)

I just wanted to say how much I love your programme and how helpful it is. I watched your programme last night about Mechanics and being a girl with a car is the most stressful thing in the world so just have to say a big thank you for the great knowledge you pass on your programme is so helpful and even though there are no mechanics I trust. So Thank you!

Your expectations of spending about 45 minutes on a free brake check are totally unrealistic. Minor points such as putting seat covers on are unfair critisism although considering many cars coming in for a freebee are really untidy, proction FOR the technician's clothes is justified. Skilled technicians would know whether a rotor needs replacing and only where the situation is marginal would they need to measure the thickness. Overall your programme did you no favours. (I am in the industry but not connected to those sites checked)
