The Darkest Day - Season 2, Ep 12

Before leaving for a family vacation in Italy, Cathy makes one more attempt to get Andrea to reconsider her hasty marriage. And as Andrea makes it clear that she intends to get married in March, Adam decides to invite his new friend, Poppy, to come to Italy, too. Meanwhile, when their boss at Big Buy suspects that Myk and his friends have been stealing, Paul warns them that they are about to be arrested. And when she visits Dr. Sherman’s class to discuss her experience as a cancer patient, Cathy realizes that they have little interest in hearing from her and storms off.

After Myk makes it clear that he cannot be deported back to Ukraine, Paul puts two and two together and insists that he tell Andrea he’s marrying her in order to get a green card. Ignoring Paul’s warning, Myk instead asks Andrea to move their wedding date up to Valentine’s Day. In the wake of dressing down Dr. Sherman’s class, Cathy cautions Adam against having Poppy join them in Italy. And following a troubling phone call from Lee, she hurries to see him before she leaves town.

When it’s clear that Lee is dying, Cathy calls to tell Paul that she won’t be home in time to make it to the airport. And as Cathy opts to stay by her dying friend’s side rather than go to Italy, Adam learns that Poppy‘s father actually died from cancer more than a year ago. Finally, after Andrea learns the hard truth about Myk’s reasons for wanting to get married, and Paul flees from work after learning that he’s been chosen to undergo a random drug test, Cathy returns home in the wake of Lee’s death to find that Sean is back.
