Rose is dead – found in the Viaduct harbour. The police think she fell in after a boozy night out but her best friend Linda is convinced it was murder.
Jane started at Mosely & Loveridge on the day of Rose’s funeral. Talk about an awkward way to start your new job. To make matters worse, Krystle, the resident bitch, seems to have it in for her. There are clearly some complicated office politics going on here.
Charlie let Jane in on some of the goss – Simon’s marriage is on the rocks and Krystle was dead set on getting her hooks into him. If Rose and Simon where getting it on then maybe that’s why Krystle disliked her so much. Would Rose really get involved in an affair though? Everyone says she was so nice….
The funeral was far from a demure affair. Linda made it clear she is not a fan of Rose’s ex Grant when she tried to take a swing at him. Could he still be on P? He definitely seems interested in getting his hands on Rose’s money.
And why wasn’t Ganesh at the funeral? Everyone else from the office showed up. Did he hate Rose? Sure, IT guys are all a bit weird but why would he want to take Jane’s hard drive away? What was he searching for? And what was Jane doing with all those files while everyone was out of the office? Seems like she might have her own hidden agenda.
Jane found a flash drive hidden under Rose’s desk and with Linda’s help they uncover a bunch of documents from a company called Davy Hume Investments. Jane is starting to think that Rose might have been a bit dodgy herself. Who stashes company documents on a personal flash drive? The documents lead the girls to a mysterious ‘S. J. Whitwell’ but when they visit her address she refuses to talk and makes a speedy getaway. They say only guilty people try to run….. Could S.J. Whitwell and Davy Hume all be a front for that guy Peterson?
