The L&P Cafe Review
The L+P café is right on the main road into Paeroa and
has been there for as long as I can remember. The famous big bottle out the
front and the obvious signs of “this is a tourist bus destination” screams out.
The day I
try to make a booking proves to be a serious challenge. The owner tries to
stall me and I feel as though she is nervous about taking on the business. When
I arrive the place is in chaos! Potential customers are walking out the door
after long waits to be seated. It is apparent that this is the busiest the
restaurant has been for a long time and the strain is showing with the staff.
The food
is an improvement from the old menu, but there is still a lot of work to be
done with both the service and the training in the kitchen.
